Willis Towers Watson, an international advisory, broking as well as solutions company just announced its new Chief Financial Officer Michael “Mike” J. Burwell. Michael Burwell comes in to replace Roger Millay, the present Chief Financial Officer who is retiring voluntarily at the end of 2017. Burwell has been working with professional services as well as finance sectors for over 30 years from PwC. In the last decade, he had been working in the senior management roles including Global Transformation Head, Chief Financing Officer and Chief Operating Officer in the United States as well as Transaction Service Head in the United States. Moreover, he has 12 years of experience in the audit field of Transaction Services advisory including assisting organizations with valuation and due diligence before mergers.

 

Michael Burwell is a well-known financial adviser who at the moment works at the Willis Towers Watson’s chief financial officer. Willis Towers Watson is a consulting and advisory company that offers a wide range of services for both large and small organizations. Michael Burwell attended the University of Michigan where he attained his undergraduate degree. Additionally, Michael is also a qualified CPA. Before joining Willis towers Watson, Michael was working with the financial industry for over 30 years in several crucial and high-level roles.

 

Michael worked for 11 years on business advisory services before being voted as a partner and joining the transaction business in Detroit. He experienced high levels of success while working there until he was asked to take charge of the transaction division in the central US. After achieving success at the nationwide level, Michael Burwell became the chief operating officer and chief financial officer. He helped in enlarging the internal shared services in 2012, within the organization while working as Vice Chairman of US Global Transformation.

 

According to Michael Burwell, he gets his ideas from working with others within the company. The employees have unique and invaluable perspectives that enable them to intuit and infer things that somebody who is not used to their daily operations cannot do. These are the ideas that have led to several innovations. What makes him successful is the fact that he can do more from less.
